This great! I've never considered this either. Thank you!

Someone's views on a personality can also be shaped on their culture and what it tells people to value in any given archetype.

Yes!! I saw someone comment on Marlana’s note to me that people often look for patterns they are used to - good or bad, which is true as that can be brought on because of cultural or sometimes religious expectations and exposure. I read that after I posted so I didn’t touch on it here, but you’re very right!

The prompt is difficult because we tend to be attracted to people because of how they make us feel. This seems not to be captured in either of the choices.

That’s a good point. I guess if you dug into the current choices deep enough, you can draw in some emotional effect - what knowing someone truly can make you feel. There could be cross over there, but I didn’t touch on that really 🤔

That's great and all, but what am I?

For who I am or what I represent?

Why are you in love with me?

Kiwi’s Stories's avatar

Personality and vibes ✨ that’s why 😂

Great question. Great prompt. And stellar analysis. I feel the same as you do: initial attraction likely based on representation. But that soul tho, hard to resist.

It gets more intense when you start to question SPECIFICALLY WHY you get attracted, and then start to question your tastes 😂

So much self-reflection. Once upon a time, I dated a boy for too long because all my friends thought he was cute. But I didn't. wtf, right?!?

Kiwi’s Stories's avatar

LITERALLY SAME - that was a first relationship, I didn’t know what I was doing honestly

I love this. I knew this question had layers, and you really sat with it long enough to pull both sides all the way through. The distinction between who someone is vs what they represent and where you landed on it felt really honest. I appreciate how thoughtfully you moved through this.🫶🏼✨

Thank you so much ☺️ And thank you for the prompt - I honestly think if someone really tried they could go a lot deeper than this. It was hard not to go on tangents 😂

I would love to see others take a crack at it. I enjoyed this though its fascinating to see how others think if I’m honest 😂

I think you should pose this prompt to others - I would genuinely be curious as to how people perceive this. Especially someone like a therapist or psychologist lol I agree, I like reading about people’s thoughts, perceptions and experiences!!

Marlana aka Outtamydamnmind's avatar

Where do you recommend I post it 😂 or I can write my own response tag yours and open it up for others to take a crack at it ? 🤷🏽‍♀️

Kiwi’s Stories's avatar

Yeah, why not!! Tagging people specifically too could be another way - if you can think of anyone who might like this haha

I’d love to read what your take would be, do it!!!

Tomorrows project 😂 like the tag idea too will see what I can put together
